Only after the year 1447, when the printing press was created, did the practice of sending written wedding invitations emerged. Then again, people were limited to the ordinary printing methods, where ink was just stamped on the papers, producing a simple, not stylish wedding invitation.
Fast forward to today, where we have tons of materials at our fingertips to create gorgeous wedding invitations, which can even match to the colour theme, and/or the aesthetic of the special day. Some of us choose to commission a third party to help with designing the invitations, to save time and pressure for preparation of the wedding.
